Lady Wasteland - A Post Apocalyptic Webisodes

From Lady Wasteland's Facebook Page:
This is the adventure of Lady Wasteland. A story rooted in the misfortune of individuals left to scour a vast wasteland in search of their own private destiny. Each character: a fragment, a survivor, a wanderer. In a god-forsaken landscape after the collapse of civilized society, we find a generation left for dead, fueled by revenge, apathy, absurdity, and the need to find a piece of food.

  1. Great video on the basic survival kit. Very smart idea to use a web belt then you can attach other pouches if you need to

  2. A wise man said once- one is none and two is one.

Meaning have a backup, ie- some spare supplies in your pockets (fire lighting, torch and pocket knife).

A belt survival kit is good because it is with you all the time. I would try smaller candles (tea lights)as they are more stable to use or birthday candles as you can carry more of them.

As for knives- Swiss Army Knife with saw (pocket), Leatherman Wave (belt)and a medium size sheath/belt knife (Fallkniven). The Leatherman Wave would be the most used and should therefore be the most accessible. I like to carry mine in a horizontal sheath.

Magazines worth looking at- Tactical Knives and The Backwoodsman. Both have some good info on survival knives, etc.

Good knife Companies- ESSE Kives (formerly RAT knives), Fallkniven, Victorinox/Wegner Swiss Army Knives and Cold Steel.

In the end, put the kit together and see how it goes. Always be looking for ways to lighten/make smaller the kit. After all, it is no use if you leave it at home because it is too heavy.

Also- buy quality. Your life may depend on the quality of what you are carrying.

Buy survival manuals- Lofty Wiseman, US Army Flied manual, etc, etc.

    And finally- practiced, practice, practice!
